My opinion on the type of people at a dog park: The regulars: They know the dog names of several dogs and some of the owners names. The sometimes sit around together. Especially in the small dog side. The chuck it isolationist: This person just wants to throw the ball to their dog. The regulars usually know them but they are just there to throw the ball and usually stick to a part of the park no one else is. the weekend warrior: the person who comes on the weekend to show off their dog but has no idea how to control their dog and often the source of fights. the unprepared: they come to the park dressed nice and keep their dog on leash in the big park or wont set them down in the small dog park. If any dog comes near their dog they freak out immediately. the bully know it all: their dog will hump and be super aggressive just short of drawing blood and they will say it is just dogs being dogs, let them figure it out They generally have no idea where their dog is at the park and are looking at their phone.
