My parents are beating the odds. 59 years ago my parents, Marlene Harris and Marshall Harris exchanged those two life changing words ( I Do! ) that mark the beginning of a life combined. These two loving and compassionate people have weathered many a storm and the relationship result is a bond that has lasted longer than most unions today. My parents now have three children, Marshall K. (me) Michelle and Danielle and 7 grandchildren, Cole and Devon, A.J., Ryan, Hunter, Guss and Giana and a collection of relatives, dear friends and associated family members that is near to impossible to estimate. Their energy and enthusiasm for life is nothing less than admirable and makes most of their contemporaries breathless trying to keep up. They have traveled extensively visiting or living in locations as remote as Cheyenne Wyoming and as romantic as Paris and Rome. There aren’t many who I know can boast of a life partner of 59 years. I mean that is older than me and that’s a long time. Happy Anniversary mom and dad. I’m planning on a big 60th.
