My parents moved our family from Hillside when I was in the 3rd grade. We lived on 2nd & Quincy. I attended Garfield School graduating with class of 62. We moved to 24th & Vanburen when my father became a Sargeant in the Bellwood Police Dept in the middle of my freshman year of HS. My father was a little league coach and my brother (Larry) was a Little League Baseball pitcher. I attended Proviso East HS class of 66. I worked for 3 years at the Lido Theatre... starting first behind the candy counter, eventually in the ticket booth. I started dating my husband, Ron Feb. 1966...he too was from Maywood and graduated PEHS. class of 1966. We went to the senior prom together.
