My parents, retired in Beloit, WI, have been loyal viewers of WGNs News at Noon. The schedule today for WGN-America has In The Heat Of The Night re-runs until 3pm, followed by Blue Bloods, then old Americas Funniest Home videos. I guess the local provider Charter has dropped WGN Chicago, and replaced it with this craptastic line-up? BTW, I thought TWC had issues. Charter is horrible. Cable TV has become such a bad product. In the 90s, a simple co-axial into the back of a set, 70 channels, many really good programming and affordable. Today it is 150 channels, mostly crap, slooowww channel changing, dozens of blank networks nobody pays for you have to skip over, and it practically takes a licensed engineer to program to boil it down to the favorites you actually use. Oh, and now they require a box for every set in use in the house, which means an additional fee. Direct TV, DISH, and AT&T unfortunately dont look much better. Someday soon someone is going to come up with a better service and bring these jokers to their knees.
