My parents sweet Dobie, Molly died of a heart attack last night. This is why I am against shopping for puppies at pet stores. Pet stores get their dogs from Puppy Mills. Molly was a rescue from a Puppy Mill. She spent 5 or 6 years of her life in a cage with nothing but concrete flooring. She had many litters of puppies. When my parents brought her home from the rescue that saved her, she had no idea what grass, stairs and even sky was something she was fearful of. Even though they got her out of the Puppy Mill, her mind was so damaged. She had no idea how to be a dog. Or what love was or how to accept it. She also disliked men. Poor girl. She had a pretty cooshie life in the last 5 years of her life, but to think she never got out of that fearful mindset. I beg you guys...NEVER shop at pet stores!! Always go to a shelter and adopt your pet. Behind the pet stores are the mommies and daddies of those pups who never get out of cages and are abused to unthinkable measures! ALWAYS adopt! Rest in Peace, Molly.
