My pastor, the right reverend Tony Walliser (He would probably cringe at the title.) at Silverdale Baptist Church made it clear in a sermon recently that the devil was out to destroy us - and I believe it. Several weeks ago, I never dreamed I had the very kiss of death lodged on my left kidney. However, the very Majesty on High exposed the evil plot. My wonderful surgeon, Gods Angel of Mercy for such a time as this cut a one foot slice out of my side to enter the very inner sanctum of my being and Jesus came down with healing on His divine wings. The renal cell carcinoma was removed - and I heard the surgeon say, Its gone! No further treatment indicated! Oh yes, the sin curse leaves us with pain - in recent weeks I have felt like one of the martyrs in the Book of Hebrews who was sawn asunder. But I am so grateful!! I have had to go to T.V. Church the last 3 Sundays, but this Sunday, well, this Sunday I am going to worship at Silverdale Baptist with my fellow believers and sing the songs of Zion and redemption. As the ole black preacher down in the country used to say, Aint God alright?! Amen! My God is alright! (Another old preacher I knew would say when heaven came down, Whew, I believe my mule is about to get loose in the corncrib!) Worthy is the Lamb and I am so grateful!
