My people, our country is going through tough time, with the spread of the Ebola virus, which represents one of the greatest health challenges that we are faced with as a nation since independence in 1847. This virus is a threat to our democracy and stability. As a team leader at NAYMOTE, my heart bleeds for the lost of many people including some of our volunteers and family members. At Our Ebola Awareness Call Center we are using mobile phone to engage communities, spreading correct information across the country about the prevention and response of Ebola. Since July, we have reached over 5000 citizens across the 15 counties. With all that we are doing to save lives, the deaths rate are just unacceptable. Liberians, we all need to join hands in this fight. You don’t have to be a health worker to continuously inform people about Ebola and its prevention. Please use your mobile phone contacts, call and educate someone on the prevention and spread of the virus. Our call center hosted two members of the Liberian legislature, Deputy House Speaker, Hans Barchue and Representative Edward Karfia. They used our call center to call and educate their citizens in their respective districts. You too can do the same! Help save lives.
