My personalized comments: It was completely improper for the prosecutor who presented the case to the Grand Jury in the Mike Brown shooting incident to be the one to do so. He had a conflict of interest based upon the murder of his father, a police officer, by a Black man, and was the only one who seemed oblivious to that fact. Moreover, my opinion is not just that of a civilian, but that of someone who was a prosecutor (mainly of violent crimes, often murder and occasionally allegations of excessive force by law enforcement) in New Mexico for just shy of a decade. The mere appearance of impropriety should have been enough to dissuade the prosecutor from going forward in the Ferguson, MO matter, as he placed himself in a no-win position. Now he must reap as he sowed, because a large swath of the nation, myself included, has no confidence whatever in the outcome of this Grand Jury.
