My piece for the week, blame John Grisham for it being dark.. The Last Outing What little left there is to fear, when church bells edge you ever near. And the mourners walk to pews in twos, Umbrellas shook in darker hues. What little time remains it seems, To speak of times remains have seen. A prayer and cough of cousins bored, A coffins cost explained has soared. What little joy for those below, Nowt from deeds but weeds will grow. A corner plot with rain and empty, Some cornered fox glad nature sent thee. What quietness in resting place, The gravelled path quite resting safe. Where dreams and a life less lived now lies, A dreamless life no longer timed. Aidan P
