That will allow us to tap the potentials of tourist attraction and sites. Nobody would love to come to Bauchi State if he is not sure that he can come and live with his own life and property. Nobody would come to Bauchi State once he is not secured. On the road, in the hotel and in the reserve or on visiting the mausoleum of the prime minister and other places. So, it is a collective system that all of us as citizens will have to do so that there is peaceful coexistence. Already, the Nigerian tourist development company has been showcasing all the tourism potentials not only in Bauchi State, but other states. In other states that they are having the Argungu fiesta, am sure they are about to start it. If there is peace here, I am sure people will continue to flock to Yankari games reserve. It is already there on the internet. They have shown the beautiful renovation they have done there, it`s good management, aggressive enlargement, people will come but all of us collectively will have to ensure that there is peace, security, then we can tap it. The Senate President himself, the Deputy Senate President himself, the chairman, committee of information and so many of the senators have explained the rationale behind their salaries. A younger brother of mine, Hon Dogara quiet recently was in leadership newspaper where he spoke on the issue of the variables that made them to arrive at those salaries. But the whole issue is that Nigerians are the ultimate ones that can kick against that issue of salary whether they collect millions in terms of the fact that they only sit a few times in a year, even without going to the senate or they can say no. They are the one that it is we that can say we need a change and your output is not commensurate with the resources we are spending on you. We can initiate private bills, we can hold enlightenment seminars, and we can hold civil organisation meetings. There are some civil organisations that have gone to court to kick against it. If all of us are active participants some of these ills we are seeing can becorrected. Zoning Out of expediency, some people are over flogging zoning. It is in the Constitution, if you look at it saliently. Each unit must be given a sense of belonging, that s what the Constitution says. So, I have to feel that I am part of the Nigerian state; you will always give me a sense of belonging. Coming to Bauchi State, that is why some of us are arguing, that those aspiring as senators from Bauchi Local Government should look at the fact that the governor of the state is coming from Bauchi Local Government and those of us in the other six local governments if we are to continue with those of them from Bauchi Local Government Area in the future, they themselves must subsist their interest and take our own interest to be the greater interest by ensuring that only those of us outside Bauchi Local Government especially from the southern part of the constituency are given the chance to represent us at the senate.
