My political rant: Thou shalt not steal - its a basic concept. The way this young man stepped up on the store owner - having committed a petty larceny then a physical assault - I could see him having an attitude toward any one who asked or demanded he stop in the name of the law. In hindsight IMO the officer should have perhaps waited for a back up - maybe this would have lead to a different result - but at what point do we justify/gloss over people not following the law of our land and allowing people to committing such stupid crimes. I guess he felt entitled to take the boxes of cigars. After all he was oppressed - and .... He was only Walking home - and he was going to start college on Friday .... So he/others should be allowed to act as they want - and any who think other wise I guess can just stand opposed or hang fire!
