My poor mother calls me tonight upset about a post she read on Facebook... It was along the lines of how suicide is selfish... And cant believe Robin Williams would take his life.. Really... How could anyone feel that way.. I understand we are all entitled to our opinions but dont judge a situation you havent been in. I watched my brother Tyler struggle for years, it was heartbreaking. When he took his life the last thing I thought was how selfish he was. I thought of how much I would miss him.. And felt so sad that his illness got the best of him and that there was nothing I could do to help. If you know anyone or struggle with mental illness yourself, please speak up and know your not alone! xo
