My prayer today Father, is to ask You to draw those of us who have strayed off Your path of life back to the center of Your will. It is not enough to simply do the works of our God – we must also be doing Your will. If we are not in Your will, we are in grave danger of drifting away – and we just don’t have that much more time to live so foolishly! For those of us who find ourselves sidetracked, I ask that Your Holy Spirit would help us to seek out Your guidance so we do not waste any more time. Your grace will always allow us to learn from our mistakes – but we must not keep going down the same old rabbit trail. I believe it is foolish to keep repeating old patterns. Help us to recognize our own motives in the decisions we make. Help us to resist the temptation to manipulate - and instead teach us to follow Your Holy Spirit - who alone can guide us in the right direction. To live in faith is the foundation I choose to build my life on. My faith is leading me to greater things than I could ever do on my own. You will never fail anyone who places their trust in You. Remind us as often as we need to be reminded, that the whole church age we are living in right now has the purpose of preparing those who are called to reign with You in the eternity to come. You desire to set Your people free, but we must “first seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness; and all these things will be added to us. “Teach us also to not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” I choose today to make all my decisions based on Your kingdom needs – and not my own. If you choose to move me, to stretch my faith, or even challenge me, than I ask You to have Your way with me. I believe with all my heart that if I am truly Yours, I am going to be seeking You above all things. I acknowledge my own tendency to try to run my life without You – and I repent. Help me to return to You, so I can be used to help prepare the way for Your return – to see heaven being brought to earth. To You be all the honor and the glory!
