My prayer today is that I will be real and transparent. Each and every day I get up and show the world a facade - an image of myself in which I portray a false identity. An identity found in my talents, my abilities, and my wants. It is me....but it is not supposed to be. When people look at me I want them to see Christ - I want them to see Him and I cant do that by constantly trying to portray and highlight me. God made me. He gave me talents and abilities. He wants me to use them.....but He wants me to use them to His glory. Thus, today, my prayer is to be able to break down the facade in front of me so that I can show the world a broken, sinful man that is saved by the grace and mercy of God. I want to show the man that I am - a man redeemed by the blood of Jesus. A man who acknowledges his failures and faults while constantly trying to do better. A man who simply wants to obey Him and His will. A man who wants to use his talents and abilities to glorify God in all things. And in this endeavor, I am made whole. I am made whole....and when I am made whole I am made into what He originally made me to be. His original masterpiece - pure and holy. So, today, I seek righteousness. Holyness. Depth.
