My prayers tonight are that everyone is careful out there driving. The roads are slippery and people are already having accidents. Hope everyone is ok :( Thankfully, Michele, had a pretty good day with her procedure yesterday. It is about time that she got a break from her pain. She is so excited about Thanksgiving day, please let Monday be easy on her and let her results Wednesday be good so she can really have something to celebrate. She already is so grateful for her beautiful family, but good results to her tests would be an extra bonus this year!!! God, please continue to watch over Art. We are so caught up with his fundraiser and we havent heard much about him lately.....except I heard from his daughter that he changed his mind and doesnt want mac and cheese for Thanksgiving dinner....haha. She will see if he changes his mind. I am sure they dont really care what he ends up wanting....whatever it is, they will have it there for him. Their Thanksgiving wish is already coming true just having him home with them!! So dont forget the fundraiser on Dec 1 if you get a chance to go. And I have some tickets left to sell....$1 a piece or $5 for 6 of them!! Please keep watching over Brandon and his whole family also. It is a bittersweet year for them....no one can say they are happy about his accident, who would be happy about that. However, I think EVERYONE is so very thankful to have him still be here with us. I think all of us can agree that Brandon and Art have given us all a new way of looking at life, and have forced us all to re-evaluate things and prioritize what and who is really important. They are two men through which we have seen miracle after miracle played out over the past several months. Even if we did not know them before their accidents, they have become part of our everyday lives now and watching them overcome so much has given us all a feeling of hope, and renewed our faith in YOU. Of course, I always pray for my secret group too every night. Please continue to watch over them and guide them through their obstacles. I believe that when they look at Art and Brandon it helps them also, because it either makes them realize the problems they have could be much worse and in some instances it makes other ones realize that miracles truly happen so they should never give up!! I know you were watching over me today, and I truly think that Mom and Barb had a hand in this also. I have been counting down the days until Mike would be going to Arizona. I am very bad with good-byes as you know and would not go over there and see him for that reason. I didnt want to cry and ruin his excitement of leaving. Today coming home I was almost to Becker Road and said The heck with it, I am going over there and giving him his hug good-bye. This is ridiculous and I really need to see him before he leaves. I pulled up to the stop sign by Becker Rd and guess who had just pulled up to the sign to stop and turn my way........MIKE!!! We both waved like crazy, and I knew right then and there that we got to say our good-byes in a happy way. I love you Michael Van Auken. You have been part of my life since you were about 4 years old, and I wish you only the very, very best. Like I said, I will keep praying while you drive down there until you let us know that you made it ok. Best Wishes my dear friend. I am going to end it there. Have a safe night everyone. Love ya all
