My precious friend and Holy Land roommate, Beth Perry, passed from this life yesterday - her battle with cancer is now over as she is welcomed into a new life of no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away (Rev 21:4) It was only a week ago that Tina Saylors Hardy and I had a great visit with Beth as she struggled to move from her recliner to sit beside us, pouring over Holy Land pictures and memories. We laughed at she & I riding that camel in Jericho, (she really wanted to ride it but was afraid, so we did it together). We laughed at seeing her display the opal ring she bought in Jerusalem. She was eagerly awaiting our return from walking the via delorosa (too weak to go), to get our opinions - it didnt take too much convincing! One day you will welcome me into your new land and ride with me to new heights also. You will assure me of the joys that await. Thank you for the gift of you Beth. And thank you Father for welcoming my friend into your arms of love and security, wiping away the tears and pain and escorting her into a land beyond imagination - amen!
