My precious grandson Giovanni, 3, just melts my heart when I see him being raised in our beautiful Catholic faith. My daughter Laura took him and Gena and met me for evening Mass and after Mass, Gio and I are praying in the small chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe and so Im saying a short prayer out loud for his dad Nino and out of the blue Gio asks me about Pope Francis. That just blew me away. I was like Where does he get this? Ive talked to him about Pope Francis but not recently. He seems to retain everything when it comes to the faith. Then he tells me to tell Sister Margaret to pray for us too. He has never met her but he always asks to talk to her when she calls. Its like he feels this connection to this faith which I want him to be grounded in. I am so blessed now to be a part of his daily life and I pray The Church is too because we are one body in Christ.
