My predictions for the upcoming season awards: MVP - LeBron - TopicsExpress

My predictions for the upcoming season awards: MVP - LeBron James, cause real recognize real, theres no one right now that is playing on his level, hes a hell of a scorer, grabs a ton of rebounds, can play every position 1-5, and though Im not really a fan of his, you cant deny that hes the best player walking around in the league right now, and though its getting a bit boring after 2 consecutive years of seeing him getting the MVP, Im afraid he will again get it this year. And he has a really big chance of not only getting the regular season MVP, but also the finals MVP. Most Improved Player - Enes Kanter, I know its not a conventional name, and there are a lot of names who are in contention, but I think that with Al Jefferson out of town, Enes will blossom, Derrick Favors had a lot more playing time than this guy, and he will be good, but if I look at the numbers I believe Enes, if he remains the same, can and WILL be a beast. In 2012-13 he played only 15.4 minutes behind Al Jefferson, and his numbers of 7.2 points per game with 4.3 boards with it, dont come close to his ability. Over 36 minutes it would mean though that Kanter would post 16.9 points, while grabbing 10.2 boards, and in games in which he played over 20 minutes (which happened 12 times), he posted 14.1 and 8.0.In a November game against the Thunder, Kanter scored 18 points and grabbed seven offensive rebounds in 15 minutes. And a lot of that production came against defensive specialists Serge Ibaka and Nick Collison. Which convinced me that he is a beast. Rookie of the year - Anthony Bennett, The unconventional first pick of this years draft. At first I wanted to go with Victor Oladipo, cause hes a really good defender, who I think can up his offense really quickly, and become a huge threat in a couple of years, and become better than Bennett. That being said, right now though, I think Bennett has better odds, Anthony Bennett gets supply from Kyrie Irving, Oladipo from Jameer Nelson, Bennett-Oladipo 1-0, Bennett on offense got an inside-outside game, which will benefit him when Bynums on the floor, cause he can stretch the defense with 3s, and when hes posting up, hes strong enough to bang with the big boys, Oladipo is more about defense, and he is developping a nice offensive game, that being said Bennetts is now on a higher level. Bennett-Oladipo 2-0. On defense Bennett is an okay shotblocker, but not an elite presence, where Oladipo is much more developped, and can turn into a dangerous defensive presence right from the get go. Bennett - Oladipo 2-1, Summarizing, I think Oladipo will be better, but since ROY is about the ROOKIE year, Ill go with Bennett. Defensive Player - Roy Hibbert, Oh my goodness, when I saw that picture of the new Roy Hibbert, chills went down my spine, The guy was already a nightmare for Centers on offense, and now that he hasnt only got the height of a tank, now he also has the build of a tank! And he plays with Indiana? Where Paul George is roaming on the perimeter? Yikes! 6th Man of the year: Tyreke Evans, Couple of weeks ago, the Pelicans said that Reke will come off of the bench, I think this will benefit him, and he can turn into the next Ginobili/J.R. Smith type of player, after a very promising rookie campaign, and a couple of disappointing seasons in Sac-town, he will want to, and he HAS TO, turn it around, and playing with a.o. Anthony Davis, Eric Gordon and most importantly Jrue Holiday will turn his career back to what it supposed to be a couple of years ago. Coach of the year - Mo Cheeks, I think the Detroit Pistons are going to surprise a lot of people this year, with their excellent frontcourt and solid backcourt, and I think that Mo will reap the benefits, come Award selection time.
