My presumption of how my three kiddos wouldve reacted if John and I had done this are: Kyle wouldve been kinda ok with it because he wasnt a huge candy fan....then he wouldve asked us to apologize and to replace the candy for Nick and Adam. Adam wouldve made a crazy but sincere gaspy face and immediately found a way to make us laugh about how horrible we were...then talk us into buying more (and better) candy than he was actually missing. Nicky wouldve tried to get us to explain what posessd us to do such a thing....then wouldve written up a formal contract making us promise to never do it again and demand we replace every piece missing...and he would know exactly what was missing because he probably would have inventoried it already.
