My previous status update reminded me of 3 things that happened when I was in jr. high. First, I spilled gravy from a microwavable dinner on my foot while it was piping hot and had to have a tetanus shot and was left with 2nd degree burns. I had to be on crutches for weeks. Second, I was getting something out of the trunk of a car, and my mom didnt see me walk up behind her, so she slammed the trunk on my face (not kidding even a little). Third, I survived all that, only to have someone toss a frozen Snickers bar at me one day and it hit me squarely on the bridge of my nose, causing more bruising. There were a lot of questions from school administration those couple of years…people thought I was making it up because no one person can possibly be that unlucky. But you know what? That one person grew up to be the fabulous, professional, 34 year old woman you see before who JUST HIT HERSELF IN THE EYE WITH THE CORNER OF A MACBOOK TO THE POINT OF BRUISING…alone in a room...on Halloween. Ladies, ladies, pls form an orderly line and take a number. There is more than enough of me to go around.
