My problems or gripes with Horror today : 1. Too many jump scares 2. Too many shaky cam / found footage 3. Not as much originality 4. Gore is over used usually in place of atmosphere. Hey I love my Gore and I like the occasional jump scare, when it is set up properly and done well. I dont like when too much is given away, I want atmosphere, a feeling of dread or impending doom, sometimes what you dont see is far scarier then what you do. I fond this is why I love Horror films, even TV movies far more from the 70s-80s it seemed back int hose days they were more experimental, took more chances, now everything seems to be a re-hash of Blair Witch or Paranormal Activity.
