My profound fear for the Catholic Church is that priests and bishops, throughout the Church, most notably the Cardinals, fearing and accepting that people no longer truly believe in God, will simply transform the Church into a human organization, designed to help people in community outreach, vocalizing social and political complaints whereas the mass will become nothing but an ornate, albeit irreverent irreverent fund raising opportunity with the pope as the Churchs most visible and popular media spokesman for each latest apparent worldly cause.
