My puter gets a bit warm when Im converting files. The fans dont seem to cool it down enough, it can get very warm. So ive been using an old metal drive as a way of conducting the heat away from the laptop and it seems to work very well. I then realised that on this drive is my back up for most projects, so i would like to find a block of metal to use instead, any what metal would be best for this. I found a website that shows the conductivity of metals and gold and silver are the best, but not wanting to spend £thousands, would aluminium work the best? anyone tried this for reducing computer heat?
