My question in this case is: Where did the informant get the crack cocaine he planted in this guys store and how did he not get caught by the cops who were running the operation? Its this kind of thing that makes me have a general level of suspicion toward police. This and the Michael Brown shooting. Among other incidents. Many other incidents. I know that not all police officers are corrupt. But enough of them are corrupt that it makes it unacceptably dangerous to have interactions with police. They have guns and the authority to use them and wide, WIDE latitude in the exercise of personal discretion when doing so. In my opinion, having the authority to shoot someone should come with the requirement of the highest level of conduct.
