My rant for the day. Imagine a world without religion or a belief in God or greater intelligence. This belief has little moral value unless accompanied by the belief in an immortality of punishment and reward. I would want all to believe in God so that I would be less robbed and less deceived. So if he didn’t exist I would invent Him. So put stock in happiness and life then in truth. Does a flee, an elephant or monkey have a soul. A child dies in a mother’s womb just at the moment of receiving a soul will life begin again as a fetus, man, boy or girl? These questions we ponder. If a peacock could speak it would affirm his soul inhabited his magnificent tail. We flatter ourselves that we alone are gifted with a spiritual and immortal principle. If a belief in God has kept some men from crimes against humanity this alone can suffice. If it can prevent 10 911 from happening or 10 Boston bombing, or 10 assassinations, etc, then the world should embrace it and not superstitions. Christ is weeping over the crimes committed in his name.
