My relationship with what I call Lord of the Rings Geekery is non-existent. I first tried to get into fantasy stories when I was younger and attempted to read Robert Jordans The Eye of the World. (Hint, it put me to sleep. LOL!) Also, once upon a time, I tried to read The Lord of the Rings. I was also put to sleep. The films had the same effect. To my knowledge, the only books I have ever read which may fall (at least partially) in the fantasy genre and loved have been Stephen Kings The Eyes of the Dragon and Dark Tower series and the Harry Potter books. HOWEVER, in an attempt to stay abreast of pop and geek culture, I have taken it upon myself to give Game of Blood and Boobs....I mean Game of Thrones a whirl just to see what all the fuss is about.
