My reply to email from Starbucks management: Yes -- I do have a question -- Why are your shareholders sitting on $55 billion ... CEO and Founder Howard Schultz sits on more than $2 billion ... and the coffee-bean pickers have nothing ... if it was not for the bean pickers you would not be where you are today ... start treating them like human beings ... Howard Schultz makes $10,000 an hour ... his US employees barely survive on $10 an hour and the bean pickers make $1 an hour (or less). I have requested a consumer and investor boycott of your company until you start paying US employees and bean pickers outside the US before you pay your millionaire and billionaire shareholders -- end of conversation (I hung up the phone on her) ... Dear Mr. Moas, We understand that you recently initiated coverage on Starbucks earlier this week (with a Sell recommendation) and therefore, are interested in having a discussion with you about your firm, approach to research and companies that you cover. We are also interested in knowing if you have any questions about our company. Please provide us with your full contact information so that we can connect with you over the phone. In the meantime, we would appreciate receiving any research that you have published on Starbucks. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
