At Dean Foods®, we are committed to ensuring that our products adhere to the highest standards of food safety and quality. We only use food ingredients that have been recognized as safe by leading regulatory authorities. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are produced through the use of biotechnology, and the majority of foods in the U.S. food supply today contain ingredients derived from GMOs. Many of the most influential regulatory agencies and organizations that study the safety of the food supply, including the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, the American Medical Association, the World Health Organization, Health Canada, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the National Academy of Sciences, have found genetically modified food ingredients are safe and there are no negative health effects associated with their use. White milk does not contain GMOs. However, sweeteners and other minor ingredients used in some of our flavored milks and other dairy products may contain GMO crop-derived ingredients.
