My response to Christopher - Chris said: I would agree that neither political party ever gets it right. Hardie said: We are in agreement on this; neither political party has gotten it all right, and in my opinion nor will they ever get much closer to getting it right. They are too divided. Jesus did not come to establish new political parties. He came to give life and give it more abundantly. Chris said: A more direct question: Assuming black political leadership has reached a higher level of control (as implied in that video,) do you agree that they have failed to improve local urban socio-economics? Hardie said: It is true that there are more Blacks in higher level positions of leadership in both the political and corporate world. I also agree that the problems are still unsolved. I do not agree that Blacks have failed to improve local urban socio-economics. Blacks certainly have failed to solve the problems in the very short time frame in which they have acquired greater positions of power but, I also believe there is improvement by at the very least moving the bar in the right direction. The unsolved Black, urban, socio-economic problems of the inner-city existed both before and after more Blacks held higher level positions of control or power, including President of the USA. If the unsolved problems of the legacy of slavery, racism, miss-education, poverty, Jim Crow Laws and family devastation were initially created and unsolved by the Whites who have held and continue to hold an overwhelming multitude of positions of power and control over the entire span of time, why would anyone expect Blacks to solve or even improve the problems in such a short period of time with far fewer resources and support. Chris said: There is an overwhelming general attitude to blame minority poverty on Weve never had an opportunity to self-govern. The white man keeps us down attitude. Im certainly not meaning to imply that We knew you couldnt do any better for yourself. See? We gave you the opportunity. You elected minority officials and still failed. Hardie said: I know that using blame as an excuse for failure is not a solution but not recognizing and acknowledging the reality of the legacy of slavery and the perpetual presence of discrimination and planned political and economic segregation of the poor which perpetuates poverty is not a solution but is a legitimate reason to blame all those with the power to solve the problems both black and white for failing to end the evils of poverty, racism and discrimination. Gerrymandering and Voting Rights manipulation to minimize the power and rights of minorities and poor people is truly keeping people down both blacks and whites. Gun laws encouraging people to prepare to kill others because of underlying racial fears. Blakeonomics is an economic and spiritual transformation process directed primarily for the African American Community. It is CommonUnity Community Economics Education and Financial Literacy Process of Debt Reduction, Poverty Elimination and Wealth Creation. It is designed to promote self-sufficiency within the Black community through community ownership and true community economic development by Black people owning, living, loving, learning and working within their own communities. Blakeonomics is a method of financing our own businesses by establishing our own financing institutions. We are not asking the government to do it for us. We will not foster or perpetuate racism, prejudice or discrimination because we welcome focused participation by anyone of any color. Yet, we will do it for ourselves. FUBU. Blakeonomics is poor people becoming POE (Producers, Owners, Entrepreneurs) and no longer just Consumers. Jesus came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. John 1:11 Chris said: Im leaning towards more evidence that although race and social economics have always played roles in politics and economics, as long as they remain a focal point or deciding factor, all parties will continue to fail. The video implies (to me) Here are black people in poor communities that elected black politicians and still nothing improved. Its propaganda. Is there truth to this propaganda? I personally feel that anytime you divide and decide by race (or any single one factor) you fail. What can be drawn from the video is that you can change. The power of the vote still exists. Which is good news. But, its revolving door politics. The faces, the races, the names change but our socio-economics do not change with those new faces. Exactly why we need a new system. Or at least significant positive pro-active changes to the system. Hardie said: Propaganda is Propaganda, politicians are politicians, Black or White, they all politic. Jesus was not a politician and did not come to bring a new political system. Jesus was the greatest leader the world has ever known and much more. He brought a new economic relationship system and it was not capitalism, communism or socialism. In Christ there is neither Black or White, Jew nor Gentile, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. He said I came to give life and give it more abundantly. Jesus taught us to have righteous relationships with God and with one another by loving all people, red, yellow, brown, black and white. A physician is sent to the sick not the well-thy. Chris said: Enter Blakeonomics. On Blakeonomics, I looked again at the links. Read through some of the information. But I still fail to grasp what it is. I feel if I tried to describe it I would fail miserably! LOL! Can you describe it in 3 sentences? If you had 2 minutes to convince me, what would you say? Hardie said: Blakeonomics is attempting to create a Trickle-up wealth creation system where the poor participate by systemically utilizing their minimum low-value assets such as food stamps and other welfare benefits and charitable gifts in a systemic manner that creates wealth and independence rather than greater dependence and poverty. This video: youtu.be/j3EZtSldCQw describes how Blakeonomics works.
