My roots and heritage stem from a mountain province and remote - TopicsExpress

My roots and heritage stem from a mountain province and remote tribal life. My roots and heritage is not--to my knowledge--easy to trace and backtrack to historical events that many Americans can revel in. I often help others research their own heritage and follow the generational lines to amazing historical events from the Mayflower, famous Native American figures, Hollywood relations, political figures, famous musicians, etc. Often, I have helped others research their history, pouring through documents and reading articles regarding their history and envying the historical background behind their blood. Lately, it has been a goal to have my DNA tested for genetic historical information but I wonder--what is the likelihood of those tribal ancestors from another land considered to be a third world country having documented the generation history? What would that family history look like? I suspect it would be more of the Ifugau lives and in contemplation, makes complete sense to me why the Native American sun dance strikes such a resonance with me.
