My second marriage fell apart very unexpectedly (to me) when I was 30 years old... And for a period of time afterwards I used to drive out to my parents house and borrow my moms Infinity, and I would rocket down this one straight and lonely stretch of highway that cut through the piney woods of Bastrop, Texas. And at 100mph, with all the windows open, I would turn the premium Bose sound system up to eleven... And in the moonlight I would play this song over and over, while singing along... Sometimes the road ahead got a little blurry. But that was just the wind in my eyes.... ;) Still a good song. An anthem of sorts that every male should learn... *** Melinda was mine Til the time That I found her Holding Jim Loving Him Then Sue came along Loved me strong Thats what I thought Me and Sue But that died too Dont know that I will But until I can find me The girl wholl stay And wont play games behind me Ill be what I am A solitary man Solitary man Ive had it to here Bein where Loves a small word Part-time thing Paper ring I know its been done Havin one Girl wholl love me Right or wrong Weak or strong Dont know that I will But until I can find me The girl wholl stay And wont play games behind me Ill be what I am A solitary man Solitary man
