My self worth will never be measured by how much I can do for other people. Weve been conditioned to bend over backwards for other people as its the humanly thing to do. Ofcourse its good to be helpful, generous and giving, that generosity should not become a slavery. I think its also important to prioritise ones self. One is all that one has. So when selfish people, only concerned with their needs come shouting me me me, I say me too!. People who deserve to be in your life will never constantly expect you to choose between them and yourself, theyll understand that you are a priority too. They wont make you feel guilty for being selfish or shove selflessness down your throat either. I am in charge, I decide my actions. Sometimes I am selfish, sometimes I am self-less.
