My sincere thanks go to the team at the 1st Joint Public Affairs Unit for sending me these incredible photos to share with the Military Photography community. I hope you enjoy them. Cheers Jay. The Royal Australian Air Force KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) refueling aircraft continued to support Coalition aircraft over Iraq on Friday, October 03, 2014. During its mission it distributed thousands of litres of fuel to Australian F/A-18F Super Hornets and French Dassault Rafale fighter jets. Six RAAF F/A-18F Super Hornet, an E-7A Wedgetail Early Warning and Control aircraft and a KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft are assigned to the Air Task Group (ATG). The ATG is supported by 400 RAAF personnel who have deployed to the Middle East since the Australian Governments announcement. Australia’s efforts are in response to a request for assistance by the Iraqi Government in combating ISIL terrorists.
