My sister Emere Pomare Marriages whole funeral program was held at the same funeral parlour in Henderson NZ that catered for her late husband Peter. As soon as I walked in the door into the lounge it felt like I was at home. Before I even got to view my sister I looked up and my heart just felt at peace as I saw a TV above displaying a beautiful corsage of red, white & yellow roses displayed on her casket and two simular displays on each side. When everyone arrived we were invited into the chapel area for the night service.As the only surviving sister I was invited to sit by my sister who had been prepared so well that you couldnt see a single sign of a wringle.She looked so beautiful and at peace right up to the time they closed her casket which was a week from the time of her passing.Both Ministers,Funeral Director and whanau members acknowledged me throughout and in after service speeches.The only other sibling a brother was suffering with a bad bout of bronchitas and was advised by his doctor not to travel.Sadly a week later my brother returned from Brisbane to his own son Murrays tangi. Murray was one of sister Emilys pallbearers he suffered a heart attach the next morning and died we held his funeral the following Thursday.Refreshments were served as everyone mingled and caught up listening to the latest happenings, then it was time for home.The funeral service next day was conducted by both a Ratana & Anglican minister.After the funeral service during the hakari the funeral owner stood up he spoke about how well my late sister conducted herself thoughout which made his job so much easy he spoke of how well her only child was well prepared to cope both spiritually financially & physically he thanked the rest of the whanau >>> THEN >>> he announced there is one more person I would like to acknowledge >>> Then he turns to me >>> what comes next puts me into shock :) He said we have had a ratana song an anglican song and Im inviting Whia to come up and sing with me because I know she knows the song.I slowly rose to my feet thinking I hope hes picked a song I do know >>> When I got up to him he stared strumming the guitar and said you know this song I said how do you know,he replied because I know your a mormon you stand out Im crying now >>>>Heres the song and it did sounded just as beautiful as it sounds here:
