My sister Teri Dolan, a nurse, who diagnosed herself when she was in her twenties with Lupus when all the other professionals were confused...has lived through heart attacks, numerous hip replacements, ruptured spleen that nearly killed her, a stroke, connective tissue issues to nearly every organ, lung fibrosis...you name it! She is one of the oldest Lupus patient alive because of her attitude and love of life and grandchildren. She is always seeking out ways to help herself, never playing victim and seeking ways to improve her well being. Today I brought her to the emergency room with a temp over 103 and with a diagnosis of double pneumonia. Serious for someone who no longer has a spleen to help fight infection and an immune system to be compromised by Lupus. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! She is a perfect example of how a love for family and life can keep you not only alive, but excited about life...no matter what you have been through! Love you my der sister...lets keep the laughter going! Glad you have a cute male nurse! :)
