My sister-in-law (married to my pharmacist brother Nathan Rucker) - TopicsExpress

My sister-in-law (married to my pharmacist brother Nathan Rucker) posted this video. Its long but worth the watch! Be careful folks!! This was funny & very true! Medical & health claims to be miraculous or magic especially if declare by a doctor (but anything miraculous or magical claimed by anyone!) is a slippery slope, obviously!! The loose regulations on supplements is also a slippery slope and makes me even more thankful for Informed Choice!! Companies (like Advocare but most supplement companies choose not to) can electively run their products through Informed Choice who not only tests for over 200 banned substances (determined by the FDA and FTC) but they also dissect the DNA of supplements to see if they really have in them EXACTLY what the label claims!! This is why Olympic athletes (who get tested dozens of times sometimes in just one season!), professional athletes, even collegiate athletes whose eligibility is on the line have to be careful what they choose to take (because the majority of them do take supplements). Thankful Advocare chooses to use Informed Choice so that I can trust their products, which are designed by our medical & scientific board. This was one of the reasons I felt confident attaching my name to it after all these years! Ps. This is why I never liked Oz! Being endorsed by Oprah (who did similar stuff as Oz but at least didnt have two medical degrees giving her clout on the subject!) is what got him famous and Im sad he wasnt more careful with his claims to millions of viewers. :-/
