My sister-in-law recently challenged me to do the ALS challenge . This is my response to her challenge. Although I hope a cure for ALS will be found, I dont find that to be a compelling reason to pour ice water over my head. I also hope a cure is found for muscular dystrophy ( which affects one of my granddaughters) and diabetes ( which affects another of my granddaughters ) along with cures for all the other diseases and illnesses that impact so many of us! This is a meager and amateurish attempt to protest against the atrocities that are being committed by radical Islamist in the Middle East and in other parts of the world. However, I feel compelled to speak out in some way because I find their actions to be reprehensible and inexcusable, and the world needs to stand up and tell them that we will not tolerate their crimes any longer!
