My skull didnt crack after being hit by a car while walking on a rural road in Kansas, but my brain bled & I laid unconscious on that road for at least four hours... Ive been ignored, dismissed, and degraded by health care professionals... Ive been put on medications that poisoned me. My needs are being downplayed and Ive been neglected. I was promised rehabilitation, cognitive therapy, and upkeep - all of which were lies, deception, and finally being ignored by my Drs. We need to be valued, taken care of by those who went to school for 6-8 years in order to DO THEIR JOBS..... Im getting worse, because theyre not taking care of me as they said theyd do. This video isnt just about Melissa Wanna, its about ALL of us with TBI and the issues that come with it. Everything in her video applies to me as much as it applies to her. Dr. Garry Pearson has neglected the crap out of me - and Im NOT okay BECAUSE of it. How am I to heal and get better, if they DO NOTHING...?
