My son Donny performed his first public rap performance Wednesday night at the Boardwalk in Orangevale, along with a friend of his. He and his friend got top billing of the night, and the other performers joined him on stage for the finale, backing him up. Even though rapping is not singing, his vocal talents came through, as he was able to vary his pitch, and his amplitude on command, and throw in a Barry McGuire-like gravel voice at times, like his daddy does! He worked very hard on this for weeks prior to the night of the performance, and I was very proud of him!
