My son Keith committed suicide at age 25. It was one of the most painful things Ive ever endured. It took me a very long time to get even a semblance of a grip on it. As his mother I have felt an enormous amount of guilt over it. After all.....I was his mother. I should have known what to do to ease his pain. All I know is that he was suffering from depression and had made some bad choices in his life that he felt he could never make up for. Different religions teach different things on the subject of suicide. I believe with all if my heart that our God is a loving God. And as such I firmly believe that He would not turn his back on one of His own that was in the type if pain that leads to suicide. You can all believe what you like. This is my belief. God forgives us in life and He forgives us in death. If I didnt believe that I would have a very difficult time with my faith. And I dont. So everyone is entitled to their beliefs. I just wish they would think before they go spouting off about how they feel about it. I miss my son every day of my life. And I know in my heart he is in heaven. So there. Ive said it. I can only imagine the level of pain that would lead someone to suicide.
