My son has been stopped, detained and profiled way too many times to count. We have been telling him and his sisters what to do when they encounter a police officer, since they were younger than eight years old... we lived in the city at the time. I believe the reiterated talks, is why my sons encounters have been extremely positive, coupled with the fact that they heard or saw my sons name, who happens to be named after his father, whose job is affiliated with the court systems in the Richmond area. Truth be told... police officers need extensive training, period... many of them need to stop their superior attitudes, stop the racial profiling, stop the excessive force and stop the fear and the hate due to the color of our skin. May God always bless our beautiful sons and our beautiful daughters.
