My son is a member of a Jewish teen support group. My son is not Jewish nor does he come from a Jewish family. My initial thought when he asked me to join was absolutely not. I was afraid he may be uncomfortable and I was afraid of the unknowns. After I did my research I found that they welcome all teens although its origin was to help Jewish teens. They offer support and scholarships for their members. A great deal of my sons friends from our community are in the group. When Dr. King dreamed of a world wear little black boys and little white boys could play together he wasnt just speaking of his community he was speaking of all communities. I am proud of my son! He is on the fundraising committee and I will be helping him.
