My sons second grade teacher told me that he is just a trouble maker. Dont ever let anyone tell you that your child is just this or just that. Stand up for your children. At that time, I didnt realize all of the inside issues that were causing him to act that way. This boy who has been diagnosed with ADHD, was considered an ESL student, and was said to have a learning disability, has surpassed everyones expectations. He was highly praised by the special education teacher, principal, his teacher, and the assistant principle, at our meeting yesterday, for his test scores, his behavior changes, and his hard work. They said that they hardly ever get to actually release a child from special education, and not only do they get to release him, he is right on the money with reading and language arts, and has excelled in math. He is still a typical 10 year old boy. Sassy, yet sweet, helpful, yet sneaky, but he has made super changes, and im so very proud of him.
