My sons told me the only thing they dont like about Thanksgiving is the food. So this year we smoked pork loins (with Steve Barbara Cissy Lowther Hanagan s BBQ sauce). The appe-TASERs were hot salsa, black bean habenero salsa, cream cheese with hot jalapeno jelly, and pumpkin dip. Other items on the menu...potato latkes, grilled vegetables, two kinds of squash, kale, salad, chive garden rolls, baked rolls, homemade apple butter, peanut butter in celery, cheesecake, pies, & I asked Cindi to bring chocolate chip cookies...a perfect reward for all the hard work. No turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries, mashed potatoes... I may be onto something here. This really worked for us.
