My store (Audio Coupe) opened in 1990 and I operated it for just over 10 years in Fairfield, CT. Sound room door is to the left, photos of customers cars adorned the soffet by the ceiling. Letters from customers front and center around the neon. Glass wall looked out onto the first of two bays, capacity 4 cars. Total 3100 SQ feet ran me about $5100 per month in rent triple net. When we built the showroom, there were no garage doors. They had to be cut through the cinder block walls...MTI switcher required 2.25 miles of wire but all products would play with all other products, I could demo each amp verses head unit power, variable crossovers and what effect they had when building and tuning a subwoofer. Im still friends with the awesome guys who built my counters and met loads of great people along the way including my team: Paul, Jason, James, James, Tom, Steve...One of my favorite clients owned an ad agency in New York known for major advertising successes, including the Fosters TV commercials Fosters, Australian for beer!
