My story for #TheReport A Year in Review was on the rise of Islamic State and their impact this year. Year on year there are many stories of loss and terror and this year was no different. Over the last four years weve been following the tearing apart of Syria, loss and pain on a scale difficult to even comprehend. Iraq, for years longer weve been watching a country of history and grandeur turned into rubble but in 2014 the story changed in a way no one expected it to, the loss didnt stop, neither did terror but a new dimension came into motion under the banner of Islamic State.
