My story is: My beautiful 18 year old was killed along with 2 of her friends on Fathers Day 2008. They was on their way home from going to a movie along with her going to get a birthday gift and a Fathers day gift for her Dad and her Brother. The man that did this was free for over 3 years before they brought him to trial and he was still driving so he could have done this terrible thing to other families. He was put on trial September over 3 years after the wreck. He was given 10 years for killing 3 people and almost destroying the life of the 4th young man. He got mandatory 9 years and his driving priviledges taken away for the rest of his life. People rob banks and get a lot more time than that so that tells me that our money is more important to our country than our precious kids. Seeing my son and his wifes heart broken beyond repair is a feeling that no Mother should ever have to go through. The only way that this travesty will ever stop is for the laws to be changed so the killers can be prosecuted for murder which it should be. Healing is a long process for when you think you are doing better you see a girl that looks so much like her and fall apart. I have a lot of special memories of her and that has helped me more than anything because some of those memories make me laugh when I want to cry. There is an empty space in my heart that will never be filled till I get to Heaven and see her again.
