My street had not had light for 4 days today. An electric pole fell during a rain storm. I went to PHCN office to complain today why the light had not been restored. I was told by the manager to gather my street people to find money for them to buy a new pole. I am still reeling from this news and suddenly i just stumbled on the revelation by minister of power that just about 40 million Nigerians have access to electricity. That is 1/4 of the whole population of Nigeria. And someone somewhere is telling us he has a score card to present. If by what PHCN just told me today is the reality,then what social amenities do we enjoy as Nigerians?
