My stroke victim dog wont eat her food or drink her water, so the vet suggested meat flavored baby food, which I have been mixing with water to keep her hydrated and fed. It really worked, she gobbles it up. I figure she doesnt need a lot of food right now, just enough to give her a bit of energy and to keep from getting dehydrated. Passing on this little bit of wisdom if any of you dog owners ever have an issue like this. (And for an update: She seems to be walking a little better and her eyes arent darting around, but she is still unsteady and has a long way to go to recover. Im going to be doing a lot of quiet time with her all week to give her plenty of time to sleep and hopefully help her brain recover. I was feeling really low this morning, but I do have to admit I am seeing a little progress.)
