My students and I watched the rain falling down in sheets and then pour down from the roofs of the school! You couldnt tell that it had been years since we had received rain like this in rain starved California. My students had been taught to recycle paper and plastic. Why couldnt our school and the city capture hundreds of barrels of rainwater and take it to the city resevoirs to save for dry drought days? What an amazing lesson that would have been if we are serious about water conservation! What do you think? (Brought to you by Facebook Education Frank Palacio.)
